Aspen Fourth of July 2015
Doctor Robert, The Beatles Tribute from Crested Butte, headlined it’s second consecutive Fourth of July celebration in Wagner Park this past weekend. We can’t thank The Aspen Chamber Resort Association, Alchemy Concert Systems, and the thousands of Beatles fans enough for another amazing night of music in downtown Aspen. It was the final show of an unforgettable three-night run of Beatles music that started in Salida for Thursdays @ Six at Riverside Amphitheater on July 2nd, followed by a rare club gig at Samana Lounge in Vail Village on July 3rd. All three nights brought a different enthusiastic crowd, and we we’re so grateful for how much fun everyone has at Doctor Robert shows.
Here are some recordings from Aspen:
I Saw Her Standing There
Hey Jude
Twist and Shout
Back in the USSR
Dear Prudence
Don’t Let Me Down
Birthday
Something
I’ve Just Seen a Face
Here Comes The Sun
A Hard Day’s Night
Ob La Di Ob La Da
One After 909
Aspen Fourth of July
Doctor Robert, The Beatles Tribute from Crested Butte, CO, just finished three of the finest shows we’ve played in four years as a band. July 2nd brought us to Lions Park in Basalt for their weekly “Music after 5:00” series. Thanks to the enthusiastic crowd that made it out on a perfect evening for outdoor music.
July 3rd brought us to Winter Park for our first time. We got to play the biggest stage to date, with huge sound and around 1000 people enjoying the “High Note Thursdays” weekly series.
After three years playing Crested Butte’s Fourth of July festivities, we were invited to play Aspen celebration in 2014. Rumor has it there were 5000 people in Wagner Park for the fireworks display, and we were lucky enough to entertain everyone before and after the fireworks. Thanks to the wide variety of age groups that brought out their best singing voices, dancing shoes, and love for Beatles music. This may have been our finest show yet, and we can’t wait for another show like this one.
We recorded the 7/2/14 show in Basalt, here are some songs from the second set:
Let it Be
A Day in the Life
The Word
Revolution
Something
I’ve Just Seen a Face
