Black Nugget Carbondale

The Doctor Robert Beatles tribute band made it’s way to Carbondale last Saturday night to play the new and improved Black Nugget, this time without Karen. The Trio had a great time playing about 60 songs in about 3 1/2 hours, and had some fun breaking out some random Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, and Cream songs. By the end, we covered “Sweet Leaf” and “War Pigs” by Black Sabbath, “Gallow’s Pole” by Led Zeppelin, and “Crossroads” by Cream. Thanks to the Roaring Fork High School class of 2003 for coming to The Black Nugget for the after party, and for everyone else that came and made for a packed house full of Beatles fans. We can’t wait to make it back to Carbondale for the full Doctor Robert experience. Here are some recordings from the night:

I Am The Walrus –> Sweet Leaf –> I Am The Walrus

Day Tripper (ending) –> Helter Skelter –> War Pigs –> A Day in the Life (Casey on vocals)

Back in the USSR –> Dear Prudence (Kevin on vocals)
Come Together –> Twist and Shout

Rain (Kevin on vocals) –> Good Day Sunshine

While My Guitar Gently Weeps

Wait –> Get Back

Main in Motion — Montrose

Doctor Robert had a great time opening the Main in Motion weekly series in Montrose, CO last Thursday. Montrose has plenty of Bealtes fans, and we enjoyed playing downtown with the streets closed to traffic. A beautiful evening brought out people of all ages, and we were fortunate to have a good crowd for our entire set. Hopefully we’ll make our way back to the area sometime this fall for more Doctor Robert, The Beatles Tribute. Here are some recordings from the evening:

You Can’t Do That
Yellow Submarine (with a little help from some local kids).
The Night Before
Act Naturally
Paperback Writer
All Together Now
Mean Mr. Mustard Trilogy
Lady Madonna

Glenwood Caverns, Quixote’s True Blue, Sunday’s @ 6 Gunnison

The last few weeks brought Doctor Robert to Glenwood Caverns Advenure Park’s “Music on the Mountain” series, Quixote’s True Blue in Denver, and Legion Park in Gunnison for our third year of “Sunday’s @ 6.” Thanks to everyone that came out to support Doctor Robert at all three amazing venues. It’s always great to see familiar faces at our shows. Here are a few recordings from Legion Park in Gunnison on June 2, 2013:

While My Guitar Gently Weeps

Good Day Sunshine

Ballad of John and Yoko

Old Brown Shoe –> Revolution

Mother Nature’s Son

When I’m Sixty Four

I Don’t Want to Spoil the Party
