Boulder, Canon City, Alamosa

Doctor Robert’s first multi-show run of the summer brought us to Boulder, Canon City, and a return to Alamosa.  This was our longest stretch so far, totaling just under 700 miles, and included a flat tire on the trailer during an intense dust storm in the San Luis Valley.  Thanks to everyone at all three stops that came out to see Doctor Robert.  We saw a lot of friends and fans at every show, and it’s sure nice to see familiar faces so far from home!

We started in Boulder to play Boulder Beer Company’s first outdoor patio show of the season.  The weather was fantastic and the patio was filled with plenty of Beatles fans. We even had two of this season’s wedding couples make special trips to say “hello.”  Here’s a few fun ones from 5/24/12 in Boulder:

Happiness is a Warm Gun   Penny Lane     Come Together (with another fun jam to close)  Blackbird      I Don’t Want to Spoil the Party    If I Needed Someone

Next we went to 8 Mile Bar & Grill just west of Canon City.  Amazing food and the open feel of the 8 Mile made for a great night, and fans of all ages came out to dance and sing along.  They were even shooting a commercial for the restaurant, so there’s a chance we’ll be on TV soon.  Here’s a few from 5/25/12 in Canon City:

Drive My Car   Think for Yourself    I’m Only Sleeping

The last stop brought us back to San Luis Valley Brewing Company in Alamosa.  After replacing one flat tire and another tire that was close, we got things together and had an amazing night playing for a lot of receptive fans.  A group of college students from New York happened to be in town volunteering at the local homeless shelter, and they all came to the show in full force.  Thanks to them and all the other fans who helped make quite the memorable night for Doctor Robert.  Here’s some highlights from 5/26/12 in Alamosa:

Can’t Buy Me Love  I Want to Hold Your Hand   While My Guitar Gently Weeps    I’ve Just Seen a Face   Mother Nature’s Son (second live appearance)   Paperback Writer (with extended jam)    Tell Me Why   Eleanor Rigby (second live appearance)  For No One (partial, first live appearance)  One After 909

We want to send a huge THANK YOU to everyone that continues to come out to see Doctor Robert.  It’s been a ton of fun playing Beatles music, and the energy is contageous.  Check our schedule at for any updates.  We’ll see you at the next one…
